Tell GM CEO Mary Barra why she’s wrong about Oshawa

When Mary Barra announced that GM was closing its Oshawa assembly plant, she made time to talk to the bankers and the shareholders. But she hasn’t heard from the people most impacted by her decision: GM workers.

So far this year, GM has made more than $6 billion in profits. The company is in a strong position -- Barra herself said so.

Maybe she’s forgotten that Oshawa and GM go back 100 years, or that the closure means reneging on the collective agreement made between the company and the workers’ union. After generations of loyal work, and a multi-billion dollar bailout just a few years ago, Barra and GM executives owe us a fair hearing.

Send Mary Barra a letter explaining why she’s wrong about Oshawa.
